Ocean is part of Golfo Dulce communities

On 15th of September, Costa Rica celebrated 202 of Independence. As usual, the local government of Golfito canton organized a parade with the representation of local schools and their music bands. This year Misión Tiburón team received the honor to be invited to the parade. All the team of Mision Tiburon was dedicated in the organization of this important event, from the captains of the boats to the local educators.

As we know that the arts are an incredible way to influence our culture, we organized workshops to train students from high schools in the use of "Stilts" and they were prepared for the parade with "Hammerhead Shark" costumes. The students were so motivated that we decided to organize a stage play for Christmas.

We believe that more and more people understand the importance of the ocean on their lives and they feel it as part of them.
